Overhead Projectors

Without using an Overhead Projector.. since I don’t have one.

Can you use the pin prick method? or maybe just use a hard stylus to leave an impression on the foil, depending on the type of foil

It was an Overhead Projector and not a planetarium.

Overhead Projector

Her voice swells
like a tidal wave
melancholy chords
sink into a river
of violins humming
and cymbals chirping
like crickets
on a humid summer night.
The player barely touches these
delicate piano keys
but projected on the wall
are the simplest of my memories
in spring.
Guitar strings reach for perfect pitches,
underneath a maple tree
that shades me from the falling leaves
I used to roll around in
as a child
that loved autumn.
The woodwind greets
a snowfall
and a winter coat
that doesn’t seem
to keep out cold
as well as last year’s.

I don’t feel like my ending gets my point across?
Is it good enough?
How is the poem over all?

Wow … I usually love your poems, but I can’t seem to get in step with this one. You have some very nice word pictures here, but it all seems rather disconnected. I don’t really "get" it, I’m afraid. Sorry!
