I need help with materials relating to my science project? Urgent!?
Okay so I have a science research project (SRP) it’s this whole big thing where I pick a topic or question and have to do an experiment.
Well my project is "how does the color of light affect the absorption of heat?"
I’m going to get 4 groups of four plastic cups of water. I’m going to have one lamp with regular light shining on them. Then, somehow I’m going to change the color of light of 3 of the groups. The colors I’m using: red, green, and blue. My question is, how do I change the color of light without changing the light bulb?
I don’t want to use four different light bulbs because that means four different same brand lamps and I don’t have that. My teacher put a comment on my paper saying that I have to have all of this running at the same time. Not at different times.
Now my question for you is, how do I change the color of light without changing the light bulb?
I wanted to use those transparency sheet teachers use for Overhead Projectors, but I went to staples and there was this HUGE pack and it was $30 or so. I only need 4. (clear, red, green, blue)
I’m really lost on what to do. Plus I have to take pictures of my set up and that’s due in two weeks or so and I really want to know how to do this. Plus I have to get my materials and procedures accepted before I can start experimenting. HELP?!?!?!?!?!

Sorry if it’s kind of confusing. There’s so much more information, but I couldn’t write all of that haha
You might try getting plastic wrap like Saran wrap or Glad, and coloring it with Magic Markers. I don’t know if it would work but try it?
Do you believe in karma?
Karma is basically "You do something mean or bad, and something bad will happen to you", kind of like "what goes around, comes around". Share your favourite karma incident too if you like!
Mine: My science teacher was getting all mad at the class, like using a rude tone and getting very impatient, but mostly he anger was directed at me. She was in a bad mood because I hadn’t done my homework from the day before since I’d been sick, but she forgot and insisted she was right in believing I was there. So she goes to use the Overhead Projector, and it blows up (the light bulb shattered, there was a flash of light, and smoke was everywhere).
Yes, I believe in Karma. Jesus taught Karma. He said "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" So, do good so good can come unto you.
can you make a hologram with a overhead lens?
i found one of those Overhead Projectors, like the ones they use in classrooms and they use the transparencies. i took the lens, and its like 2 inches thick!(its not multiple lenses in a fixed rig, i beleive its one thick lens). so i put the lens on the table above 5 feet under a celing lamp. i looked into the lens, but a little to the side so the light still hit the lens and i saw a 3d image. it was kinda the same image, but if i tilted the lens whichever way, the relfection closest to me and farthest from me moved. there are like 6 reflections, 3=no tint, 3=yellowish tint like the color of a regular incandescant bulb. but its like an image that can be moved. is it a hologram? and its like a 3d movie image,( like with the glasses) if you reach for it, the same illusion happens. it always appears to be inside the lens cuz you cant touch it, but if you move your hand, it is like 2-3 inches behind the back of the lens. sorry if this is confusing
There seems to be a whole group dedicated to questions like this, and maybe able to help, at the link below.
