how do you have two video cards in the same PC show the same image?

I’m trying to show the same image to my PC monitor and an Overhead Projector. If I use a Y splitter it degrades the image. So I have two video cards; but I can only extend the desktop to the projector instead of showing the exact same image. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks!

Go to your display properties and uncheck ‘extend desktop’. if using a laptop, there is a function key (HP is F4, but on others it should be the one with the monitor screen on it) that will toggle through how the display’s are handled ie; laptop only, extended monitor and extended monitor & laptop display. You have to hold down your Function key and hit the F4 to do the toggleing. If it is your desktop, you need to find the same combination of function keys. Also, make sure that you display property monitors are positioned correctly on the test area. Two video cards I don’t think will do it, could be wrong on that.

    It’s your video cards.
First of all, you should only need 1 video card. And, you want it to be able to have a dual desktop display.

When you have that you need to go into your properties (same spot you would go to extend) and click on your secondary "monitor" and display your image there. Most dual display video card drivers and software will have a "projector" option.

    Good luck.

if you go to your graphics card control panel , go to displays (or something similar) there may be a few options here and the one you want is Clone - clone will put the same image on the projector as whats on your monitor and still allow you to work on the monitor
